Prospective Observational Trial to Evaluate Quality of Life After Neoadjuvant or Definitive Chemoradiation in Patients With Esophageal Cancer

This study is tracking the quality of life of patients with esophageal cancer (cancer of the food pipe) who are receiving chemoradiation (chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy) either before surgery or as a main treatment, to better understand how this treatment affects patients' daily lives and wellbeing over time. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older - You have been diagnosed with esophageal cancer (either squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma) confirmed by tissue biopsy, without distant spread - You are receiving chemotherapy plus radiation (chemoradiation) with the goal of curing the cancer - You are able to complete standardized quality-of-life questionnaires **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your treatment is palliative (aimed at comfort, not cure) - Your cancer has spread to distant organs (except nearby lymph nodes) - You have another active cancer at a different site - You have previously received systemic treatment for esophageal cancer - You are enrolled in another interventional clinical trial Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
