Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is testing a parenting program called 'Tuning in to Kids' to see if it helps parents develop their children's emotional skills. The program teaches parents how to recognise, understand, and respond to their children's emotions in a supportive way. This is sometimes called emotion coaching. Children who develop strong emotional skills early tend to have fewer behavioural problems and do better at school. The study is also looking at whether training teachers in these skills alongside parents leads to even better outcomes for children. You may be eligible if: - You are a parent or primary carer of a child who has turned 4 but is not yet 6 years old at the time of enrolment You may NOT be eligible if: - You do not have enough English language skills to understand the program content and answer the questionnaires - Your child has a primary diagnosis of a communication disorder or Pervasive Developmental Disorder (such as autism spectrum disorder) Talk to your doctor about whether this trial might be right for you.

This summary was AI-generated to explain the trial in plain language. It is not medical advice. Always discuss eligibility with your doctor before enrolling in a clinical trial.
