Summary
There is some evidence Topical application of dutasteride solution is effective in treating androgenetic alopecia. Local pilot study aims to study the efficacy of topical dutasteride solution to validate this claim.
Eligibility
Inclusion Criteria1
- Norwood-Hamilton grade 3-5 Androgenetic alopecia.
Exclusion Criteria4
- Female
- Spouses of pregnant patient
- Other types of alopecia
- Other medical treatment for hairloss within last 6 months

Interventions
Topical 0.025% Dutasteride solution application every 2 weeks. Total of 3ml of solution will be applied over the entire area of hairloss, including the frontal hairline, and vertex. The total duration of the intervention is 24 weeks. The application each time will be carried out in the clinic. There are no additional strategies to monitor adherence since it will be applied in the clinic.
