Summary

This study will evaluate the total blood flow in the retina and choroid (structures in the back of the eye) by Doppler optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT angiography. Angiography is mapping of the blood vessels. The purpose of measuring blood flow in the retina and choroid is to 1.) determine if rare diseases in these structures causes a change in blood flow compared to healthy eyes and 2.) find out if areas of changed blood flow line up with areas of damage that appear on conventional testing.

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is using a special type of eye scan called Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) to monitor and document rare diseases affecting the retina and choroid (the layers at the back of the eye) over time, helping researchers better understand how these rare conditions progress. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with a rare disease affecting the retina or choroid (back of the eye) - You are able to consent and complete study tests within a 30-day period **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You cannot give informed consent - You have a serious kidney disease requiring dialysis or transplant - Your blood pressure is very high (above 180/110) and not controlled with medication - You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant within the next year - You have a cataract or other eye condition that would affect the quality of scans Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.

This is a simplified summary. Always discuss eligibility with your doctor before enrolling in a clinical trial.
