Screening for Synchronous Metastases in Colorectal Cancer With DW-MRI (SERENADE)

This trial is studying whether a special type of MRI scan (called DW-MRI, which detects how water moves through tissue) can find cancer spread to the liver in people with colorectal cancer more accurately than a standard CT scan. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with high-risk colorectal cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) - Your CT scan has not confirmed cancer spread to the liver - You are able to receive treatment if liver cancer spread is found - You are 16 years of age or older **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You had a previous colorectal cancer - Your cancer has already spread to other parts of the body - You have a second cancer at the same time - You cannot have an MRI scan (for example, if you have a pacemaker) - Your rectal tumor is classified as T3b or lower Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
