Interrogation of Exosome-mediated Intercellular Signaling in Patients With Pancreatic Cancer

This study is collecting blood samples from patients undergoing pancreatic surgery to better understand how cancer cells communicate with the rest of the body through tiny particles called exosomes, which may help explain why some patients do better than others after surgery. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older - You are scheduled for surgery to remove all or part of the pancreas, or part of the small intestine, for a suspected or known pancreatic tumor or other pancreatic condition **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your cancer has spread to other organs or cannot be surgically removed - You received chemotherapy or radiation for this cancer within the last 6 months (for most parts of the study) - Your blood clotting levels are abnormal - You have a known clotting disorder or are on blood thinners - Your tumor shows signs of being invasive on imaging - The surgeon determines that collecting blood samples would put you at risk Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
