MRI Guided Focal Laser Ablation of Prostate Cancer

This trial is testing a minimally invasive procedure that uses laser energy guided by MRI to precisely destroy small areas of prostate cancer, as an alternative to full surgery or radiation, for men with low-to-intermediate risk prostate cancer. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a man between 40 and 80 years old - You have been diagnosed with low-to-intermediate risk prostate cancer (Gleason score 6 or 7 with primary grade 4 or less) - Your cancer is early stage (T1c or T2) and appears to be in only one side of the prostate - Your cancer location has been mapped or identified on MRI **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your cancer has spread outside the prostate or to lymph nodes - You have a high Gleason score (8 or higher) indicating more aggressive cancer - You have had previous prostate surgery or radiation - You have certain conditions that make MRI unsafe (e.g., certain metal implants) - You are unable to undergo general anesthesia Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
