This trial is observing how quality of life changes for people with rectal cancer who receive radiation or chemoradiation therapy before surgery, tracking how patients feel throughout their treatment journey. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with rectal cancer (confirmed by biopsy), without spread to other organs - Your medical team has recommended pre-surgery radiation or chemoradiation treatment - You are 18 years or older - You are willing to complete standardized questionnaires about your quality of life **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are under 18 years of age - You have already received systemic therapy (chemotherapy) for your rectal cancer - Your cancer has spread to other organs (distant metastasis) - You have another active cancer at the same time Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
