This trial is studying whether acupuncture can reduce side effects (such as dry mouth, difficulty swallowing, or skin irritation) experienced by patients receiving radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. **You may be eligible if...** - You are receiving radiation therapy aimed at curing or controlling head and neck cancer (not just for symptom relief) - Your performance status is PS 1 or 2 (able to care for yourself but may have some limitations) - You are willing to keep a diary to track side effects and symptoms **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are receiving radiation only for palliative purposes (symptom management, not cure) - Your performance status is PS 3 or worse (limited ability to care for yourself) - You are unwilling to cooperate with the study requirements Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
