Study Protocol to Evaluate Clinical and Imaging Results of Knee Fresh Osteochondral Allografts

This study evaluates how well fresh osteochondral allografts — donor cartilage and bone tissue from another person — work to repair large cartilage defects in the knee. Cartilage damage in the knee can cause pain, stiffness, and limited movement, and large defects are difficult to treat. This surgical approach transplants healthy cartilage from a donor to fill the damaged area. Researchers are collecting clinical outcomes and imaging results (like MRI) to understand how well patients recover and how durable the repair is over time. The study is for patients aged 15 to 50 with significant cartilage or bone damage in the knee. You may be eligible if... - You are undergoing cartilage repair surgery with a fresh osteochondral allograft - You have a large focal full-thickness cartilage or bone defect (greater than 2 cm²) in the knee - You are between 15 and 50 years old You may NOT be eligible if... - Your BMI is over 30 kg/m² - You have a systemic inflammatory disease or inflammatory arthritis - You have advanced osteoarthritis or widespread joint degeneration - You have an active infection - You are unable to provide written informed consent Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
