Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This registry is collecting long-term health data from people who have recovered from COVID-19, to understand the lasting effects of the infection on different organ systems — particularly the heart and lungs. Many COVID survivors experience persistent symptoms or organ changes even months after recovery. The study also enrolls healthy people without a COVID history as a comparison group. Participants undergo questionnaires, blood tests, and optional imaging (MRI or X-ray) to look for signs of lasting organ damage. You may be eligible if: - You are 18 or older - You tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 and were discharged from the ICU, hospital, or were not hospitalized but had confirmed COVID-19 - OR you have no history of COVID-19 and are willing to participate as a control You may NOT be eligible if: - You are unable to give informed consent - For the imaging portion: you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or ferromagnetic implants, or have other MRI contraindications - As a control participant: you have a pacemaker, poorly controlled diabetes, lung disease, heart failure, Parkinson's disease, or hypertension Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
