Lung B.A.S.E.S. 4 Life Mobile Low-dose Computed Tomography (LDCT) Screening: Ages 40-54

This study offers low-dose CT (computed tomography) lung cancer screening to people aged 40–54 who have a heavy smoking history. Standard guidelines typically recommend screening starting at age 50–55, and this study wants to see if earlier screening using a mobile unit could help detect lung cancer sooner in younger high-risk smokers. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 40–54 years old - You have a smoking history of at least 30 pack-years (e.g., 1 pack per day for 30 years, or 2 packs per day for 15 years) - You currently smoke or have quit within the last 15 years - You can read and understand English or Spanish **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with lung cancer in the past 5 years - You have a medical reason that prevents you from having a low-dose CT scan - You are pregnant Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
