To Evaluate the Therapeutic Effect of Laser Acupuncture in Patients With Acute or Subacute Post Stroke Shoulder Pain

This study tests whether low-level laser acupuncture can reduce shoulder pain in stroke survivors who develop shoulder pain during their recovery. It compares laser acupuncture to a placebo (sham) laser treatment. You may be eligible if: - You are 20 years of age or older - You are conscious and able to answer questions and fill in questionnaires before and after your stroke - You are in the subacute phase (7 days to 6 months after stroke) or chronic phase (more than 6 months after stroke) with shoulder pain - You have not taken painkillers in more than 1 day - You have not had steroid or Botox injections around the shoulder in the past 2 weeks - You are willing to sign an informed consent form You may NOT be eligible if: - You had shoulder pain before your stroke - You had trauma or surgery on the affected shoulder in the past - You cannot complete assessments due to aphasia, depression, or significant cognitive impairment - You are pregnant or planning to become pregnant - You have epilepsy and are taking anti-epileptic drugs - You are currently using herbal or folk remedies for shoulder pain Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
