Thermotherapy Against Persistent Bacterial LUNG Infections

This study is investigating whether regular sauna use (heat therapy) can help reduce or clear persistent bacterial lung infections in people with chronic lung conditions. Participants will either go to a sauna four times per week for six months or avoid saunas completely during the same period. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older - You have had at least two positive cultures for specific lung bacteria (such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Staphylococcus aureus) in the last 24 months, including at least one positive culture after antibiotic treatment - Your breathing capacity (FEV1) is greater than 1.0 liters - You are willing to either attend a sauna regularly or completely avoid saunas for six months **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are allergic to lidocaine or midazolam (used during the study bronchoscopy) - You have a condition that prevents bronchoscopy (a procedure to look into the lungs) - You have had a serious past episode of severe throat spasm requiring intubation - You are pregnant or breastfeeding - You have severe uncontrolled mental illness Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
