A Study of Intensity-Modulated Pleural Radiation Therapy (IMPRINT) in People With Thymic Cancer That Has Spread to the Lining of the Lungs and Chest

This study is testing a specialized form of radiation therapy called IMPRINT (intensity-modulated pleural radiation therapy) for people with thymic cancer (cancer arising from the thymus gland) that has spread to the lining of the lungs and chest cavity (pleura). The aim is to better control the disease in that area while preserving lung function. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 80 years old - You have a confirmed diagnosis of thymic cancer, including thymic carcinoma - Imaging shows cancer spread to the pleura (lining of the chest) - There is no cancer outside the chest or on the other side of the chest - Your lung function and kidney function meet the study's minimum requirements - Your general health status is reasonably good (Karnofsky score of 80% or higher) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You require continuous supplemental oxygen - You had a recent flare of myasthenia gravis (a muscle weakness condition) requiring new medication in the past 6 months - You have had prior radiation to the chest that would prevent safe additional treatment - You have had a recent hospitalization for heart failure or heart attack - You have interstitial lung disease (scarring of the lungs) - You are pregnant or breastfeeding Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
