Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is using advanced 3D ultrasound imaging of the heart to better predict which patients might experience right-heart failure after having a mechanical heart pump (called an LVAD) implanted to help their left side of the heart pump. **You may be eligible if...** - You are receiving a mechanical heart pump (HeartMate III, HeartWare HVAD, or CentriMag device) - You have adequate imaging data available for analysis **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Key heart measurements or imaging data needed for the study are missing - You had additional heart valve surgeries at the same time as the pump implant - You also needed a right-heart pump placed at the same time - The ultrasound images obtained were too poor in quality for analysis Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
