Dual-Port Laparoscopic Distal Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer

This study is comparing a two-port (dual-port) laparoscopic approach to a standard multi-port laparoscopic approach for removing part of the stomach (distal gastrectomy) in patients with early gastric cancer. Fewer incisions may mean less pain and faster recovery. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 75 years old - You have been diagnosed with gastric adenocarcinoma (stomach cancer) confirmed by pre-operative testing - Your cancer is at an early, localized stage (T1N1 or T2N0) - You are scheduled for laparoscopic distal gastrectomy - You are in good general health (ECOG 0–1, ASA I–II) - You do not have severe heart, liver, lung, or kidney problems **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have had prior upper abdominal surgery - Your surgery is being done as an emergency - You have had another cancer within the past 5 years - You received chemotherapy or radiation before this surgery - You need simultaneous surgery for another cancer Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
