Clinical Trial Investigating the Chemotherapeutic Compound Treosulfan (Trecondi® Ideogen) in Myeloma Patients

This study tests treosulfan (a chemotherapy drug) as part of a high-dose conditioning regimen before autologous stem cell transplantation in multiple myeloma patients. The goal is to see if treosulfan is as effective (or better) than standard high-dose melphalan at preparing the body for transplant. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 75 years old - You have multiple myeloma and have completed standard first-line induction treatment - You are fit enough to undergo high-dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplantation - Your ECOG performance score is less than 3 (meaning you are reasonably active) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are not considered a candidate for transplant - You have not completed induction treatment - Your overall health is too poor for high-dose chemotherapy Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
