Developing an Integrated Psychotherapy With Cognitive-behavioral Therapy and Biofeedback Therapy for Somatic Symptom Disorder

This study is developing and testing a new therapy that combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) — a structured talk therapy focused on changing unhelpful thought patterns — with biofeedback (a technique using sensors to help people learn to control physical stress responses) for people with somatic symptom disorder (SSD).
