A Comparison of Two School Based Interventions to Manage Anxiety in Autistic Students

This study compares two school-based programs to help autistic students (ages 8–14) who also experience significant anxiety. It includes students, their caregivers, and school professionals. **A student may be eligible if...** - They are between 8 and 14 years old with a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of autism (ASD) - They have clinically significant anxiety reported by the student, parent, or teacher - They have significant challenges with social interaction **A student may NOT be eligible if...** - They have an intellectual disability - They have serious behavioral or psychiatric challenges that prevent them from participating in small group activities - A parent or caregiver has not given permission for participation **For caregivers:** You may participate if you are the legal guardian of an eligible student. **For school professionals:** You may participate if you are a degreed or paraprofessional educator, psychologist, counselor, therapist, or similar who works with autistic students with anxiety.
