The purposes of this study are to explore the trajectory of symptom distress and balance ability in patients with rectal cancer.

**You may be eligible if:**
- You are 20 or older
- You have been newly diagnosed with rectal cancer (not a recurrence)
- You are aware of your diagnosis
- You can communicate in Mandarin or Taiwanese
- You have agreed to participate and signed the consent form
**You may NOT be eligible if:**
- Your rectal cancer has come back (recurrent cancer)
- Your overall health and functioning score (Karnofsky Performance Scale) is below 80
