Study of Human Brain-Gut Axis and Gut Microbiome in Patients With Brain Lesions - Repository for Neuroscience Research

This study collects tissue samples and gut microbiome data from patients who are having surgery to remove a brain tumor. Researchers want to understand how the brain-gut connection and the bacteria living in our intestines may influence brain tumor biology and patient outcomes. **You may be eligible if:** - You are 18 or older - You are scheduled for surgery to remove a central nervous system (brain or spinal) tumor - You are willing to have biological samples collected during your surgery **You may NOT be eligible if:** - You are under 18 years old - (There are no exclusions based on race or sex) Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
