Summary
This study evaluates if technical improvements in MRI can be used to provide improved performance contrast-enhanced MRI as used for angiography and perfusion as well as in non-contrast MRI.
Eligibility
Min Age: 18 Years
Plain Language Summary
Simplified for easier understanding
This is an imaging research study testing improved MRI techniques — including better contrast-enhanced (dye-assisted) MRI angiography and blood flow mapping, as well as improved non-contrast MRI methods — to produce clearer, more detailed pictures of blood vessels and tissues. The goal is to develop better imaging tools that can help diagnose vascular and other conditions without relying as heavily on injected contrast dyes.
**You may be eligible if...**
- You are an adult (18 years or older)
- You are able to safely undergo an MRI scan
**You may NOT be eligible if...**
- You have a pacemaker or certain implanted devices that are not MRI-compatible at 3T (the study's magnetic field strength)
- You have claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces) that prevents you from undergoing an MRI
- You have a hip prosthesis or other implant that would cause significant distortion on MRI images at 3T
