Transthoracic vs Transbronchial Radiofrequency Ablation for Lung Cancer

This study compares two ways of performing tumor ablation (a procedure that destroys cancer cells using heat or energy) for early-stage peripheral lung cancer: one approach goes through the chest wall using a CT scan for guidance, and the other goes through the airways using a bronchoscope. The goal is to find out which approach is safer and more effective. **You may be eligible if...** - You are over 18 years old - You have a small, early-stage lung cancer (clinical stage IA, T1N0M0) that is located in the outer part of the lung - You are not suitable for or have declined surgery - Your cancer can be safely reached by either ablation approach **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have very low platelets or a bleeding disorder that cannot be corrected - You have severe lung scarring (pulmonary fibrosis) or high blood pressure in the lungs - You have a serious active infection or uncontrolled fever - You have severe heart, liver, kidney, or lung failure - You have cancer that has widely spread with expected survival under 6 months - You have a pacemaker or implanted electronic device - You are pregnant Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
