Analysis of Lymph Node Metastasis and Tumor Deposit in the Short Gastric Mesentery Following Total Gastrectomy for Gastric Cancer

This study is analyzing tissue samples from people who have had total gastrectomy (full stomach removal) for gastric cancer to understand how cancer spreads to lymph nodes and surrounding tissues. This research could improve how surgeons stage and treat stomach cancer in the future. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 to 85 years old - You have confirmed stomach (gastric) adenocarcinoma from a pre-surgery biopsy - Your cancer was assessed as stage cT2-4a, without distant spread - You had a total gastrectomy with D2 lymph node dissection - You are in reasonably good pre-surgical health (ASA class I-III) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your pre-surgery biopsy was negative for cancer - Your cancer was too advanced at the time of diagnosis (cT4b or with distant spread) - Your BMI is above 30 - You previously received chemotherapy or radiation before surgery - You had prior upper abdominal surgery - You have another active cancer - You declined surgery Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
