Summary

This study aimed to assess and validate the diagnostic utility of a novel Morphology-Voltage-P-wave Score (MVP Score) in identifying left ventricular diastolic dysfunction among patients with hypertension. Researchers will collect information of patient with hypertension and underwent transthoracal echocardiography assessment. The data consist of demographic data, clinical presentation, laboratory, and echocardiography result were collected by two investigators. Then, the data was analyzed by using IBM SPSS Statistics v26.

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is validating a new scoring system that uses ECG (electrocardiogram) patterns to detect a heart condition called left ventricular diastolic dysfunction — which means the heart muscle has trouble relaxing properly — in people with high blood pressure. Researchers want to see if this score can help diagnose the condition without needing more invasive tests. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with essential (primary) high blood pressure - You are able to have an ECG and echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have secondary or treatment-resistant hypertension - Your heart pumping function (ejection fraction) is below 55% - You have congenital heart disease, coronary artery disease, valve disease, or kidney disease - You have a bundle branch block or irregular heart rhythm - You have other forms of heart muscle disease Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
