This study collects tissue and clinical data from patients with HPV-related throat cancer (oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma) who are having surgery, to search for biological markers that can help predict treatment outcomes and guide decisions. **You may be eligible if...** - You are over 18 years old - You have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx (throat/tonsil area) - You are scheduled for curative surgery - Your overall health status is adequate (ECOG 0-2) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your cancer has already spread to distant organs (metastases) - You have had a previous head and neck cancer Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
