Multi-Modality Imaging Standard Cohort Of Cerebrovascular Disease

This multicenter study is building a database of brain imaging data from patients who have experienced a stroke or brain bleed, with the goal of understanding what predicts recovery and identifying potential treatment targets. Researchers are collecting multiple types of imaging — including CT, MRI, and eye tests — from approximately 800 patients within 7 days of their stroke. Adults aged 18 to 80 who have had an ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke confirmed by brain imaging may be eligible, provided they can cooperate with the required tests and are expected to survive at least 3 months. Participation involves undergoing brain scans and follow-up assessments at 3, 6, and 12 months. This summary was prepared to help patients understand the study in plain language.
