Researchers want to understand how a child's diagnosis affects the family's food choices and meal patterns. **You may be eligible if...** - You are over 18 years old - You are the parent or legal guardian of a child who was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (within the past week) - You live with the child more than 40% of the time - You are primarily responsible for most of the family's meals **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your child has a different type of diabetes (type 2, MODY, gestational, or other) - Another person in your household has type 2 diabetes, kidney disease, or is pregnant (conditions that strongly affect dietary habits) - You have already made major dietary changes in the month before your child's diagnosis (e.g., switching to veganism or fasting) Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
