Summary

The QUAD-HF registry is an observational study that would enroll patients in the United Kingdom, who have been newly diagnosed with heart failure and a left ventricular ejection fraction \<50%. We plan to assess clinical outcomes in these patients, such as hospitalization and death, in relation to their diagnosis, implementation of guidelines and type of treatments these patients have received.

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This registry study is enrolling patients who have been newly diagnosed with heart failure with a reduced or mildly reduced pumping function (ejection fraction below 50%) to track their care and outcomes over time. It is an observational study — researchers are collecting real-world data to improve understanding of this condition. **You may be eligible if...** - You are over 18 years old - You have been newly diagnosed with heart failure with an ejection fraction below 50% in the past 12 weeks - You are willing and able to give consent **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your heart pumping function (ejection fraction) is 50% or higher - You are on a palliative care pathway - You are unable or unwilling to give consent Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
