This study is examining the thermal (heat) damage caused to cervical tissue during a common cervical procedure called LLETZ (loop large excision of the transformation zone, also known as conization), and how that heat damage may affect the ability of doctors to accurately assess the surgical margins. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a woman aged 18 or older - You have an indication for a LLETZ procedure based on abnormal cervical smear results or biopsy - You are able to provide written informed consent **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have previously had a cervical excision procedure - You are pregnant - You have an active cervical infection - You have a history of cervical cancer Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
