Summary
Research conducted at the Faculty of Physiotherapy, Academy of Physical Education in Katowice, examines musculoskeletal disorders among instrumental musicians. The study protocol was approved by the Ethics Committee of Polish Physiotherapy Associationon (Resolution No. 05/06/2025) on June 11, 2025. The application form includes QuickDASH software enabling the functioning of the system and the MPIIQM-P system, which monitors the functioning of the musculoskeletal system and its impact on everyday musical performance.
Eligibility
Inclusion Criteria3
- consent to participate in the study,
- over 18 years of age,
- professionally active musician - instrumentalist or musician-hobbyist not working as a professionalist musician
Exclusion Criteria7
- lack of consent to participate in the study, age under 18,
- artist - singer,
- pregnancy,
- active cancer,
- acute viral, bacterial or other infections,
- current exacerbation of chronic diseases or other conditions that may affect playing the instrument (e.g. osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, etc.),
- previous surgeries and serious injuries of the musculoskeletal system (e.g. road accidents) within the last 5 years.

Interventions
the QuickDASH questionnaire assessing the function of the upper limb and the MPIIQM-P questionnaire assessing the intensity of musculoskeletal pain and its impact on the musician's daily functioning
