The objective of this study is to evaluate whether certain proteins, expressed in biological tissues can indict a better understanding of the effect of drugs that are used to treat rejection, and of processes leading to rejection and rejection-free outcomes.

Eligibility

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study collects blood and tissue samples from organ transplant recipients — including kidney, liver, heart, and bone marrow transplants — to identify biological markers (biomarkers) that can predict transplant rejection, infection, and other complications earlier than current methods. Early detection could allow doctors to intervene before serious damage occurs. You may be eligible if: - You received an abdominal, thoracic (chest), or bone marrow transplant - You are receiving follow-up care at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - You are any age - You (or your parents) can read and understand the informed consent You may NOT be eligible if: - You (or your parents) are unable to read and understand the informed consent document Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
