Beating Lung Cancer in Ohio Protocol in Improving Survival in Patients With Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

This trial studies ways to improve survival and quality of care for people with advanced (stage IV) non-small cell lung cancer in Ohio, including support for smokers in the household. You may be eligible if... - You have been confirmed to have stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (any type) - You speak English and are willing to share medical records and answer questionnaires - You are enrolled preferably before starting treatment or within one month of starting therapy - For the smoking part: you are a current or recent smoker (quit less than 3 months ago) with a household member who also smokes You may NOT be eligible if... - You are being treated with surgery or definitive chemoradiotherapy - You have been receiving treatment for advanced lung cancer for more than one month before enrolling - You have vision or hearing problems that prevent you from completing the study requirements Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
