Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is surveying ICU healthcare workers — physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapists — about their knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) related to patient-ventilator asynchrony. Asynchrony occurs when the breathing machine (ventilator) and the patient's own breathing efforts are out of sync, which can cause discomfort, worsen lung injury, and prolong ICU stay. Despite how common this problem is, awareness and management practices vary widely across hospitals and providers. The goal of this survey is to understand gaps in knowledge and identify areas for education or guideline development. There is no intervention or treatment involved — it is purely an online or written survey for healthcare professionals. You may be eligible if: - You are currently working in an ICU as a physician, nurse, or respiratory therapist - You are at least 18 years old - You are willing to sign informed consent You may NOT be eligible if: - You refuse to sign informed consent - You complete less than 80% of the survey questions Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.

This summary was AI-generated to explain the trial in plain language. It is not medical advice. Always discuss eligibility with your doctor before enrolling in a clinical trial.
