Cervical Plexus Hydrodissection With D5W for PTSD

This study tests a nerve block procedure called cervical plexus hydrodissection using a sugar water solution (dextrose 5% in water, or D5W) to treat PTSD — specifically for people whose PTSD has not responded to standard medications and therapy. **You may be eligible if...** - You have had PTSD symptoms for more than 1 year - You have tried at least 2 medications and 2 non-medication treatments for PTSD without enough relief - Your PTSD symptom score (PCL-C) is 50 or higher - You live within an hour of Portland OR, Madison WI, or Lexington KY - You are not currently suicidal and have no major surgery planned - You are comfortable with computers and can commit to follow-up for 18 months **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You are already in another PTSD treatment study - You take daily narcotic pain medications or drink 3+ alcoholic drinks daily - You have schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, or bipolar disorder - You have severe needle phobia or significant chronic pain Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
