The Effect of the Covid-19 Pandemic Among Operated Patients

This study is examining how the COVID-19 pandemic affected surgical patients in the Stockholm Region — including whether delays, resource restrictions, or changes in care during the pandemic influenced patient outcomes after surgery. By comparing outcomes for patients operated on during different phases of the pandemic against historical data, researchers hope to understand the true impact of the pandemic on surgical care quality. This is an observational registry study using routine clinical data — no experimental treatments are involved.
