Exercise and Soft Tissue Sarcoma

This study is investigating whether an exercise program before and after surgery improves healing and recovery in people with soft tissue sarcoma (a type of cancer in muscle or connective tissue) of the arm or leg who are receiving radiation followed by surgery. **You may be eligible if:** - You are 18–85 years old, male or female - You have a confirmed diagnosis of soft tissue sarcoma in an arm or leg - Your treatment plan includes neoadjuvant (pre-surgery) radiation followed by surgical removal - Your surgeon expects to close the wound primarily at the time of surgery **You may NOT be eligible if:** - Your cancer is not in an arm or leg - Your treatment plan does not include radiation before surgery - You have had prior radiation to the same area - You are currently on high-dose steroids or active chemotherapy - You are not able to give your own informed consent - You are planning to receive radiation after surgery Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
