Mesogastrium Metastasis in Colon Cancer

This study is investigating whether colon cancer in the upper right part of the abdomen spreads to a section of tissue called the mesogastrium. Surgeons want to understand if removing this tissue during surgery could improve cancer cure rates. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 75 years old - You have been diagnosed with colorectal cancer confirmed by biopsy - Your cancer is located at the hepatic flexure or transverse colon (upper right portion of the colon) - Your cancer has not spread to distant organs - You are scheduled for a specific colon surgery (complete mesocolic excision) **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have cancer in more than one location in the colon at the same time - There is already evidence of cancer spread to distant organs - You have a history of colorectal cancer or other cancers - Your surgery is being done as an emergency Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
