Liver Transplantation for Non-resectable Perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma

This study tests whether liver transplantation can be a viable treatment for patients with a rare bile duct cancer called perihilar cholangiocarcinoma that cannot be surgically removed. To qualify, patients must first show their cancer is stable or responding to chemotherapy. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 or older with a suspected bile duct cancer (perihilar cholangiocarcinoma) that cannot be surgically removed due to its location or underlying liver problems - There is no sign of cancer spread outside the liver on imaging - You have been on chemotherapy for at least 6 months with at least 10% tumor shrinkage - It has been at least 10–12 months since diagnosis - You are in good overall health (ECOG 0–1) with adequate blood tests - You have been accepted as a transplant candidate **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your tumor involves major blood vessels (main portal vein, vena cava, celiac artery) - You have lost more than 15% of your body weight in 6 months - Your BMI is above 30 - You have another active cancer (unless treated and cured more than 5 years ago) - You have HIV, a prior organ transplant, or substance abuse issues - You are pregnant or breastfeeding Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
