Comparing Different Timings for Periodontal Re-evaluation After Non-surgical Periodontal Therapy (NSPT)

This study compares different time points for re-evaluating patients after non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) — the deep cleaning treatment used to manage gum disease (periodontitis). Currently, the ideal time to check how well the treatment has worked is unclear, and this study aims to find the best timing to guide further treatment decisions. You may be eligible if... - You are 18 years of age or older and generally healthy - You have been diagnosed with periodontitis (gum disease with attachment and bone loss) - You have not had any deep cleaning (subgingival instrumentation) in the past 12 months - You are willing to sign an informed consent form You may NOT be eligible if... - You have serious heart disease, organ transplant history, kidney failure, HIV/AIDS, or other serious systemic conditions - You have taken antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, or anticoagulants in the month before your baseline exam - You are taking medications that cause gum overgrowth (e.g., certain blood pressure or immune drugs) - You need antibiotics before dental procedures (prophylactic antibiotic coverage) - You are pregnant or breastfeeding - You have a history of alcohol or drug abuse Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
