Metabolic Profiling of Hematopoietic Stem Cells in Clonal Hematopoiesis (CHIP)

This study examines the metabolism of blood stem cells in older adults who have a condition called clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP). CHIP is an age-related change where a small number of blood stem cells develop genetic mutations and gradually take over. While often harmless, CHIP is linked to increased risk of blood cancers and heart disease. This study aims to understand how the metabolism of these cells differs from normal stem cells. You may be eligible if: - You are 65 years or older - You are in generally good health without known blood cancers or other serious blood conditions You may NOT be eligible if: - You have a known blood disorder (such as leukemia, myelodysplasia, or other blood cancers) - You are unable to provide written informed consent Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
