This study is identifying factors that can predict how well patients with recurrent or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma will respond to immunotherapy drugs that target the PD-1 pathway. **You may be eligible if...** - You have head and neck squamous cell carcinoma that cannot be treated with local surgery or radiation, or has spread to other parts of the body - Your tumor is accessible for biopsy (in the mouth, throat, or lymph nodes in the neck) - You have been recommended for anti-PD1 immunotherapy by your doctor - You have at least one measurable tumor lesion - Your performance status is 0, 1, or 2 **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your cancer can still be treated with local surgery or radiation - You have nasopharyngeal, sinus, or nasal cavity cancer - Your cancer type is not squamous cell - You have a contraindication to immunotherapy Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
