This study is testing a new device that measures airflow in individual sections of the lungs to help plan minimally invasive procedures (bronchoscopic lung volume reduction) in patients with severe emphysema, a type of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) that makes it very hard to breathe. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with COPD based on standard criteria - Your lung function is severely reduced (FEV1 ≤45% of predicted, FEV1/FVC <70%) - Your lungs are significantly over-inflated and you have severe emphysema (over 50% destruction) - Your symptom score (CAT) is 18 or higher - You have not smoked for at least 6 months and agree not to smoke during the study **You may NOT be eligible if...** - Your blood oxygen or carbon dioxide levels are severely abnormal - You are unable to walk more than 160 meters in 6 minutes - You have significant chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, or frequent lung infections - You have previously had lung volume reduction surgery or a lung transplant Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
