Summary

To learn if adding a healthy person's natural killer (NK) cells to the combination of Azacitidine and Venetoclax can help to control AML. NK cells are cancer- and infection-fighting immune cells.

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study (called ADVENT-AML) is testing a triple treatment combination — azacitidine, venetoclax, and donor NK cells (natural killer immune cells from a healthy donor) — for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a fast-growing blood cancer. The study is testing this in both patients whose cancer has returned and in older patients newly diagnosed with difficult-to-treat AML. **You may be eligible if...** - You have been diagnosed with AML or a related blood condition - You are 18 or older - Your AML has relapsed or failed to respond to prior treatment, OR you are an older/less fit patient newly diagnosed with high-risk AML - Standard treatments are no longer available or appropriate for you **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have a type called acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) - You have active, uncontrolled graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) from a prior transplant - You have serious organ dysfunction or uncontrolled infections Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
