This study is looking at how treating high blood pressure affects small blood vessels at the back of the eye (retinal capillaries). Researchers believe that controlling blood pressure may restore or improve these tiny vessels, and want to measure changes using a special eye scan. **You may be eligible if...** - You are 18 years or older - You have high blood pressure (newly diagnosed or existing mild-to-moderate hypertension) - You are being started on or adjusted to blood pressure medication by a cardiologist - You have normal eye findings (aside from any changes related to high blood pressure) - You are a non-smoker - You are willing to check your blood pressure at home and keep a diary **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have diabetes (Type 1 or Type 2) - You have secondary high blood pressure caused by another condition (e.g., kidney disease, hormone tumors) - You have a history of stroke caused by high blood pressure, or previous brain bleeds - You are pregnant or breastfeeding - You are a woman of childbearing age not using effective contraception Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
