Researchers want to better understand which patients are most vulnerable so care can be improved. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 18 and 65 years old - You have a confirmed HIV diagnosis that has progressed to AIDS (CD4+ count below 200 cells/µL or you have had an AIDS-defining illness) - You have been diagnosed with severe pneumonia according to established clinical guidelines **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have serious brain lesions, severe liver disease, or cirrhosis - You have any AIDS-related or unrelated cancer - You have other conditions that would confound the study results Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
