Conditions

Summary

The purpose of this study is to predict the CT visual score of emphysema with EIT-based parameters, in order to provide a non-invasive and convenient method for the evaluation of lung structure and physiological and pathological progression of COPD.

Eligibility

Min Age: 20 Years

Plain Language Summary

Simplified for easier understanding

This study is looking at whether a non-invasive imaging technology called Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) — which measures how electrical signals travel through the lungs — can accurately predict the severity of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) without requiring a traditional breathing test. **You may be eligible if...** - Your doctor suspects you may have COPD based on your symptoms and physical exam, but you have not yet had a confirmed diagnosis - You are over 20 years old and able to communicate with medical staff - You are willing to sign an informed consent form **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You refuse the EIT examination - Your CT scan information is incomplete, or your CT scan and breathing test were done more than 180 days apart Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.

This is a simplified summary. Always discuss eligibility with your doctor before enrolling in a clinical trial.
