This study tests whether having your family doctor (general practitioner) actively involved in a lung cancer screening program — using low-dose CT scans — improves participation rates and outcomes in people at high risk for lung cancer due to heavy smoking history. **You may be eligible if...** - You are between 50 and 74 years old - You are a current smoker or you stopped smoking less than 15 years ago - You have smoked heavily — at least 20 pack-years (e.g., 1 pack per day for 20 years) - You are registered with a social security scheme in France **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have a history of lung cancer - You had a chest CT scan within the past year - You are unable to travel independently to a participating hospital for scans - You have severe health problems that would prevent treatment of any detected lung cancer - You have significant breathing difficulty at rest - You have recently lost a lot of weight, feel very unwell, or have been coughing up blood (which may suggest active cancer requiring immediate attention) Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
