Pilot Study of Personalized Aperiodic Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation in Antenatal Depression (PandA-tACS)

This study is testing a personalized type of brain stimulation called aperiodic tACS (transcranial alternating current stimulation) as a treatment for depression during pregnancy (antenatal depression). The stimulation is customized to each person's brain activity patterns and is non-invasive. **You may be eligible if...** - You are a woman between 18 and 45 years old - You are between 14 and 32 weeks pregnant with a single baby - You have a diagnosis of major depressive disorder (non-psychotic) confirmed by assessment - Your depression score on the HDRS-17 scale is 14 or higher - You have low suicide risk (no active suicidal thoughts in the past month) - You are receiving obstetric care at the study institution **You may NOT be eligible if...** - You have a history of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis - You have autism spectrum disorder - You have severe alcohol use disorder or moderate-to-severe drug use disorder in the past year - You have started a new psychiatric medication or therapy in the past 6 weeks - You have previously received brain stimulation treatment Talk to your doctor to see if this trial is right for you.
